It is extremely easy to use and navigate, and every message is encrypted and stored securely. Ideas as they draw simultaneously within the Cisco Webex Teams app and on the Cisco Webex Board. Users have ultimate flexibility and location choice with the ability to use either their mouse or touchscreens. The whiteboard files and content live in the Cisco Webex Teams space, and the drawings can be saved for later or added to after the meeting. These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms.

By default, the Webex Teams installer sets up the application to start on login. This documentation will highlight how to disable this functionality on both Mac and Windows operating systems.

Please note: This functionality is only available on per-user installations of Webex Teams (acquired directly from the Cisco website). Per-machine installations either pushed via system administrators or acquired from the campus software library will have this option greyed out.
Windows OS and Mac OS (Logged In):
If you are logged into Webex Teams on either Mac OS or Windows OS, please follow the Cisco documentation for disabling automatic startup.
Windows OS (Not Logged In):
To disable Webex / Webex Teams from starting up on Windows OS without logging into the application, follow the below steps. Please note that administrative rights are required to perform these steps. If you do not have administrative rights, contact your local IT for help with making these changes.
  1. Search for and open 'Task Manager' with administrative rights. (Right click and select 'Run as administrator')
  2. Expand the Task Manager window by selecting 'More details'
  3. Navigate to the 'Startup' tab.
  4. Locate 'Webex Teams' or 'Webex' and select it.
  5. Select 'Disable on the bottom right hand corner of the Task Manager window.
To disable Webex / Webex Teams from starting up on Mac OS without logging into the application, follow the below steps. Please note that administrative rights may be required to perform these steps. If you do not have administrative rights, contact your local IT for help with making these changes.
  1. On your Mac, locate the Apple icon in the top left and select it followed by 'System Preferences...'
  2. Once in the System Preferences view, locate and select 'Users & Groups'
  3. Once in the Users & Groups menu, ensure that the proper user is select and switch to the 'Login Items' view
  4. On the Login Items page, either select and remove the 'Webex' or 'Webex Teams' application using the minus symbol or hide the application by selecting the checkbox
    1. Please note that to perform any of these actions, you may be required to unlock the window / settings via the lock icon in the bottom left of the system preferences window. You will required administrative access over your system to perform this.

USING WEBEX TEAMS


DOWNLOADING WEBEX TEAMS

1. Open a web browser and navigate to http://www.clemson.edu/online/tools/webex.html.

2. Click the Downloads tab.

3. Click on Webex Downloads.

4. Click the Download link for the Webex Teams Application that corresponds to your operating system.


INSTALLING WEBEX TEAMS ON WINDOWS OS

1. Find the Webex Teams installer (Webex.msi) that was previously downloaded and double click on it.

2. Click Next.

3. Webex Teams will begin installing.

4. By default, the Launch Webex Teams checkbox is selected.

5. Click Finish.

6. Click Agree.

7. Enter your Clemson Email address (username@clemson.edu).

8. Then click Next.

9. You will then see the Clemson Authentication page.

10. Enter your Clemson Username and Password.

11. Then click Login.

13. WebEx Teams will then be displayed.

INSTALLING WEBEX TEAMS ON MAC OS

1. Find the WebEx Teams installer that was previously downloaded (Webex.dmg) and double-click it.

2. Double click on Webex.dmg.

3. Drag the WebEx Teams icon into the Applications folder.

4. Wait until the install is complete.

5. Then navigate to the Applications in your Finder Window.

6. The first time you open the application, it may ask you if you are sure you want to open this application. Click Open.

7. Enter your Clemson Email address (username@clemson.edu)

8. Then click Next.

9. You will then see the Clemson Authentication page.

10. Enter your Clemson Username and Password.

11. Then click Login.

12. WebEx Teams will then be displayed.

CALLING A CLASSROOM FROM WEBEX TEAMS

To call into a classroom:

1. Open WebEx Teams. Click the Call button on the left side menu.

2. Enter the SIP or Video Address provided to you by your instructor for your meeting.

NOTE: You will have to click to place your cursor in the field. Then enter the address with your computer keyboard.

3. Then click Call.

4. You will then be connected to the classroom.

SHARING YOUR SCREEN FROM WEBEX TEAMS

To share your screen from WebEx Teams:

1. Open WebEx Teams.

2. Connect to your classroom.

3. Click the Screen/Application Sharing button.

4. Select the Screen or Application window you want to share with the class.

5. The window is then shared. An orange border will appear around the window or screen being shared.

6. Click the Stop button in the orange bar to stop sharing your screen and return to the classroom video.

NOTE: If the instructor is sharing content from the classroom, they will need to stop sharing content before you will be able to share a screen or application.
